Privacy
What data this site processes, why, and what you can do about it.
01 / Who is responsible
Leonid S. Drits, Riga, Latvia.

Write to this address for any question about your data or to exercise the rights listed below.
02 / Server logs
When you open a page, the web server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, requested address, referring page, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are not combined with other data and are deleted on a rolling basis.
The site is hosted on a server rented from Vultr (Vultr Holdings, LLC), which processes this data on our behalf.
03 / Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you click “Accept” in the cookie notice, the site loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It counts visits and shows which pages are read and how visitors arrived. Advertising features are switched off.
Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_KYQ2NK7CVV, which store a random identifier for up to two years. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the national rules on storing information on your device). Until you accept, nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookie is set. You can withdraw consent at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; the analytics cookies are then removed.
04 / Stored on your device
The site remembers two choices in your browser’s local storage: the light or dark theme, if you change it, and your cookie decision. They never leave your device.
05 / Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Latvia the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), or with the authority where you live.
